Our approach, unlike that of most of our competitors, is to inspect system by system with you at our side so that you attest to the condition of each element. Our visual inspection is a process that can require an hour or two more than other inspection firms. But it provides what you want to know, given that you are about to acquire or sell the biggest investment and liability of your life.
No Rushed Inspections
Rest assured that we won’t rush through the inspection. Typically, our inspections begin in the morning. So if, for any reason, the inspection takes longer than expected, that’s not a problem. We don’t have to dash off as we only complete one full inspection per day. After all, we don’t want you to be left with a bad taste in your mouth 2 to 3 years down the road.
Preparation and Report Review are very important too
A demanding Meredith inspection doesn’t begin or end with the on-site visit. Before the inspection, we prepare by reviewing relevant and available building documentation, establish your family’s requirements and evaluate and determine if certain Specialist Inspections would be useful. Oh, and comprehension is not an issue as we are fluently bilingual.
Report findings review
We review the findings over the phone or Skype once you have received our PDF report which is written using Carson Dunlop’s Horizon industry-leading software. The information provided in the report is practical and lets you know what major and minor repairs are to be done and when. Typically, our report includes over 50 photos and numerous illustrations.
