David Meredith, owner of Meredith Inspections, is keenly aware of the lack of regulation in the home inspection industry, and the potential conflicts of interest that can often exist between home inspectors, contractors, and realtors.
Mr. Meredith is the third generation in the family to work in the real estate industry with his grandfather, father and brother having acted as independent real estate brokers in downtown Toronto. David works closely with his clients and their agents to provide the most up-to-date and essential information that they need to have when they are purchasing, selling or renting a home. His inspections identify risks and costly anticipated repairs to allow clients to make educated decisions so they can buy with confidence.
David has worked in the construction industry for more than 35 years in both Ontario and Québec, beginning before entering university. He has worked hands-on in maintenance, new construction, renovation and building management. Since 2007, he has applied a wide breadth of experience to the Québec home inspection industry. He has served as a consultant for hundreds of homeowners, numerous home inspection firms, engineering firms, relocation companies, embassies and ambassadorial employees.
In addition, he manages apartment complexes and revenue properties, as well as working as an Institutional Sales Representative for Carson Dunlop in Québec.
David Meredith graduated in 1986 from Toronto’s Ryerson University in Business Administration and in 2000 from the Université de Montréal with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design. Each year, he spends more than 40 hours on professional development.
“Knowledgeable, courteous and very polite. A pleasure to be around. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Meredith to anyone who has need for a building inspector.”
